Curiosity for the experimental as opposed to confirmation of that which has already been established. Anke Hennig’s textile jewellery has a modern aesthetic, language of form and modern colour characteristics.
Individual segments are ordered in patterns in a fascinating way similar to the pearls on a necklace. The long necklaces are like textile snakes, provoking the wearer to play with them.
Her textile jewellery is created with the help of a crochet machine such as is used for making ornamental trimmings and synthetic threads.
